The Winona High School girls volleyball team achieved wins No. 50 and 51 this past week in the fifth year of the program.
The Lady Tigers (7-7 overall) reached win No. 51 with a 3-0 victory over Houlka High School last Thursday. They won the sets 25-22, 25-8 and 25-9.
They got win No. 50 on Sept. 3 with a three-set victory over Region 3-3A foe Yazoo County High School. They took the sets 25-7, 25-19 and 25-9.
On Sept. 2, Winona dropped a three-set match to Grenada High School, which won the sets 25-13, 25-23 and 25-17.
Winona, which hosted region foe Humphreys County Tuesday, visits the Cowgirls Thursday. The Lady Tigers entertain Amanda Elzy on Sept. 17.

The Lady Jaguars, who played a Region 4-2A doubleheader at Union High School Tuesday, go to Sebastopol High School for a region doubleheader Thursday.
