A memorial service for Charles Wesley Greene of Winona was held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 18, at The Foundry Church in Winona. Rev. John Goldwater officiated the service. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Charlie Kilgore, Todd Skelton, Jonathan Wenger, Chandler Harrison, Brad Tomlinson, Randy Varnes and Lee Howard.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Charles Wesley Greene, 51, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was born in Grenada to Charles Wilburn and Frances Gooden Greene on September 1, 1973. He was a member of The Foundry Church and owner of Flight 95 in Eupora. Wesley had a passion for dirt track racing. Driving the #95 late model, he was an accomplished race car driver with many awards and wins throughout his racing career. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in his younger years.
He is survived by his father, Bobby Palmertree (Janice) of Vaiden; daughter, Bristol Greene; sons, Blake Greene (Sandy Rhea) and John Conner Greene, all of Winona; sisters, Becky Ables (Jason) and Melissa Varnes, both of Winona; and two nephews, A.J. Ables (Mary Hannah) of Winona and Jonathan Ables (Caitlin) of Winona. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Foundry Church, 1512 Hwy 407, Winona, MS 38967 or to Winona Christian School Athletics, 1014 S. Applegate, Winona, MS 38967.
