Carrollton is getting into the Christmas spirit this Saturday with several Christmas-themed events going on throughout the day. First, Carroll Academy’s Playground Committee is hosting its 3rd annual Donuts with Santa event at the Carrollton Community House from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $10 per child which includes donuts, coffee and juice, face painting, a handmade ornament and reindeer food.
Santa and his elves will also be there for pictures. Guests may take their own picture with Santa or pay $20 for a professional photo by Stephanie Clanton.
There will also be a silent auction and door prizes. All funds go to the improvements of the school playground.
Carrollton Baptist Church is sponsoring the annual Lottie Moon Marketplace in the new fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Several vendors will be set up selling arts and crafts. Admission is $1. All proceeds from concessions and entrance fee will go towards Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
The 19th Annual Carrollton/North Carrollton Christmas parade will begin at 3. The theme this year is the Magic of Christmas.
It will start by the Carrollton Emporium and will go down Lexington/George and end at the 4 way stop in North Carrollton. There will be several floats, bands, beauty queens, dance teams and more. Santa will be the parade finale.
