LEXINGTON – The Carroll Academy Rebels will travel to play the Centerville Academy Tigers Friday night in the first round of the MAIS playoffs.
The Tigers are currently 8-2 on the season and undefeated in MAIS AA-4 district play.
The Rebels are now 4-6 on the season and 0-4 in conference play after Friday night’s heartbreaking 32-27 loss to Central Holmes Christian School. The game was decided by a fourth quarter score by the Trojans.
On offense, Morgan Mims was four of eight for 42 yards and two interceptions.
Colby Holly led the Rebel’s ground game with 206 carries on 20 carries and one touchdown. Morgan Mims rushed for 48 yards on 17 carries, and Jeb Beck had 27 yards on 10 carries. Noah Collier rushed for 17 yards on two carries.
Receiving, Logan Taylor had two receptions for 42 yards; Jacob Cutts had one catch for 16 yards; and Jeb Beck had one catch for nine yards.
