Due to the government’s recommendation in combating the COVID-19 crisis, the Winona-Montgomery Public Library will be closed through Friday, March 20, with leadership at the Mid-Mississippi Regional Library System assessing the situation further at that time.
According to librarian Wendy Rushing, all items that are checked out from the library has a due date of May 4 and all fines accrued from now until May 4 will be waved.
However, Rushing encourages those in the community to take advantage of the library’s online resources:
• MMRLS also offers a wide selection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, music, magazines, comics and more which can be accessed and downloaded for free using Hoopla, Axis360, and RB Digital on the library's website, located at www.mmrls.lib.ms.us.
• Digital databases and learning resources are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, also by visiting the website.
• Each MMRLS branch location offers free Wi-Fi which is accessible from the parking lot areas.
