Winona Christian School canceled classes for the week of March 16, as recommended by the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools.
According to a statement from the school, “Based on the latest developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, it is the recommendation of the MAIS that schools close for one week, beginning Monday, March 16th. All MAIS activities and athletics will also be cancelled for this week. Beginning Monday, March 23rd, the MAIS will utilize a week-to-week approach regarding school closures. WCS will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves.”
Carroll Academy also announced this morning that it would follow the MAIS’s recommendation and close the school for the week of March 16.
