EUPORA – J.Z. George concluded three weeks of spring football practice with a jamboree scrimmage at Eupora.
“I liked the effort,” said coach Ben Burton. “We have some things we have to work on. It's just a matter of coaching them to do things correctly.”
He declined to single out any individual players for comment.
The Jaguars were on offense for 14 minutes and defense for 14 minutes.
J.Z. George kicks off the 2018 season with a home game against Okolona Aug. 17. Between now and the start of the season, Burton wants his players “to commit to getting better every day.”
J.Z. George is coming off a 2-9 season.
