Carroll County Veterans Helping Veterans met Tuesday night at North Carrollton City Hall. Seated Parliamentarian Paul Henderson. Lawson’s presentation included; eligibility requirements for veterans, spouses, and minor children. He addressed the services at no cost; burial site, opening and closing grave, concrete vault, perpetual care, and headstone. Mayor Strachan thanked the veterans for their good work, told the group the town of North Carrollton supports the veterans efforts in making a difference in veterans lives and appreciates the veterans organization having their monthly meeting at North Carrollton City Hall. Representative Oliver spoke about veterans benefits, burial flags, burial/plot allowances, and the process of requesting military records.
The Carroll County Veterans Helping Veterans meets the second Tuesday of each month at North Carrollton City Hall and the public is invited.
