Believing that it is more blessed to give than to receive, members of Carroll Academy's National Beta Club and Student Council Association traveled to Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson during Easter week to hold an Easter event for the children hospitalized there. After making a presentation in honor of the memory of Abigail Louise O'Cain, the students held Easter Egg Hunts in the Activity Rooms on each of the hospital floors. The patients were given brightly colored Easter Baskets and hunted for prize eggs. CA students played a variety of Easter games, including pin the tail on the bunny, bunny bean bag toss and bunny ring toss, with the children, awarding them many prizes. This was followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny, which gave each child an Easter gift bag filled with Easter goodies. The Student Council is sponsored as the Douglas Carroll Junior American Citizens by Third Arrow Chapter, Mississippi Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
