Carrollton Baptist Church is a busy place during the Christmas season. From special events to mission fundraisers, there is always something to do during the month of December.
December 3 through December 10 is the week of prayer for international missions. The climax of the week of prayer will be the Lottie Moon Christmas offering during the 11 a.m. worship service. The goal is $16,000.
According to Deacon Dr. Bernard Taylor, the Christmas Cantata will be held on December 10 at 5 p.m.
This year, the theme is “O’ Little Town of Bethlehem,” which will include the drama of the Nativity.
Later in the month, there will be Christmas caroling on December 20. It is a family event, and those wishing to participate will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. in front of the church to sing carols to local residents in the community.
On December 24, the church will have their Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m., which will include communion, Taylor said.
To ring in the New Year, on December 31, the church will have a watch night, with a devotional as well as food and games in the evening.
