Bobby Ray Acy, 83, of Black Hawk, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at University Medical Center in Grenada. Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Rev. Hilary Brzezinski, OFM will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mr. Acy was born August 10, 1942, in Black Hawk to James Thomas Acy and Minnie Lee Farrish Acy. He was a Parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Lexington. He was the founder and owner of Acy Mechanical for 52 years, which he built on a foundation of integrity and a relentless commitment to excellence. He inspired everyone that worked for him to strive for quality and service. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and sporting events with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife 64 years, Flossie Overley Acy of Coila; daughters, Sylvia Hamrick (Rob Farmer) of Greenwood, and Kimberly Young (Johnny) of Greenwood; sons, Raymond Acy (Michelle) of Winona, and Barry Acy ( Melissa) of Winona; grandchildren, Katie Hamrick Atkinson, Hillary Acy Hays (Kim), Lee Hamrick, John David Young (Courtney), Mayme Young, Reagan Acy McClamrock (Josh), Dalton Acy, Hunter Acy, Payton Acy, and Colby Acy; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Lee Hamrick, John David Young, Dalton Acy, Hunter Acy, Payton Acy, and Colby Acy.
