The Monday, April 1 Board of Supervisors meeting was short and concise. For the first item on the agenda, the Board approved the minutes for the March 4 and 25 meetings. Next, Supervisors briefly discussed county insurance policies.
“The County Insurance is that we went over the other day for the county, CCRCF, and Fire,” Chancery Clerk Casey Carpenter stated, referring to the issue having been discussed at the March 25 meeting.
After some deliberation, the policies were approved. The Board also approved the payment of the county credit card bill for an undisclosed amount, the payment of Grand Jury participants for recall for the 1st and 2nd Districts for the month of April, and the payment of poll workers for the election being held on April 2. The Board agreed to the transfer of $150,000 from the General Fund to the E911 Fund. The Board approved the reclass of funds for Beat 2 in the amount of $55,514.77. The funds were initially paid out of Beat 2 Road Fund and should have been paid out of the Internet Use Tax Money.
Finally, the Board approved the Claims Docket prior to going into Executive Session. The Board determined the need for a call to Executive Session due to a matter brought before them by Fire Coordinator, Jake Hurst, concerning employed personnel. At this time, Beat 2 Supervisor Josh Hurst was instructed to excuse himself from the meeting by Board Attorney Horan due to his familial association with Jake Hurst.
