Eskridge, new airport board chairman

Winona Aldermen approved a new chairman for the Winona-Montgomery County Airport board during a recent meeting.
Barry Eskridge, vice chairman for the airport board, approached the Board of Aldermen during their June 6 meeting to informing them of two vacancies on the airport board.

Community celebrates Hamer

People from far and wide were in Winona last weekend for the Fannie Lou Hamer Day celebration.
The Winona Board of Aldermen voted during a regular meeting in 2022 to make June 9, Fannie Lou Hamer Day, to commemorate the day Hamer and other civil rights activists were beaten and jailed in Winona.
