Hamer weekend begins Friday

Winona secures new fire truck

Winona firemen received a needed new fire truck on Wednesday.
Winona Fire Chief Brad Mooneyham said the department needed a new truck to maintain the city’s current fire rating.

Bridge closed on Greensboro Road

The bridge on Greensboro Road in Montgomery County near the shooting range at Camp McCain is temporarily closed.
Montgomery County officials closed the bridge due to it being affected by an overweight vehicle, according to Road Manager Johnny Pearson.
“It will be closed until further notice,” stated Pearson.
