Students Injured in Campfire Accident

On Friday, May 10, two Winona Christian School students, Josey Osborne and Bryce McCaleb, were injured in a campfire accident. The accident resulted from a pressurized can of bug spray exploding from heat exposure. Twelve-year-old Osborne was airlifted to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital after the incident.

Domestic Dispute in Vaiden Leads to Stabbing

On Tuesday, May 7, a stabbing occurred in Vaiden around the area of Court Street and Cherry Street. The incident resulted from a domestic dispute in which Kelly Johnston stabbed Daniel Coby Meeks with a stick handle from a broken garden rake.
