Carrollton man arrested on drug charge

A Carrollton man was arrested by Carroll County deputies on a drug charge on May 31.
Doyle Ray McKay Jr., 50, was arrested near 35/55 Truckstop during a narcotics investigation, according to Sheriff Clint Walker.
“McKay was found to be in possession of methamphetamine,” according to a statement released by Walker.

Near the end of a city hall meeting Tuesday night, Kilmichael Mayor Bryan Lott announced his intention to resign.
Despite there being two more years left in his term, Lott expressed that he felt it was best for the town and the town government for him to leave following some complaints that he no longer lives in city limits.
