The Winona High School boys basketball team put up a valiant effort in their quarterfinal matchup with Holly Springs High School in the State 3A Tournament last Saturday night at J.J. Knox gymnasium.
In the end, though, the visiting Hawks prevailed 65-60 to end the Tigers’ season at 21-9 in JeMario Rugley’s first year on the job.
