The Winona High School baseball team capped off a perfect week by going 2-0 at the Winona Dixie Roofing Tournament Saturday.
The Tigers, who are 7-1 overall, picked up wins of 10-0 over Columbus and 14-2 over Central Holmes Christian School at the tournament.
The Tigers beat North Panola 33-7 last Thursday night and knocked off Calhoun City 17-6 on Feb. 19.
In Saturday’s win over Central Holmes, Winona plated two runs in the first, five in the second and seven in the third. The Trojans scored one run each in the third and fourth frames.
Conner Helms (3-0) got the win as he went three-plus innings, allowing two runs on one hit, walking one and striking out four. Wyatt Boone worked one inning.
Aubrey Bailey and Gavin Vance had a double each, and Danarius Robinson hit a home run and a double.
The Tigers scored one run in the second, four in the third and five in the fifth in beating Columbus. Vance (2-1) earned the win as he went all five innings, allowing two hits and striking out nine. He also had a single and double at the plate.
Chase Richardson and Robinson both hit home runs.
In the win over North Panola, Winona scored 19 runs in the first inning, six in the second and eight in the third. North Panola scored three in the second and four in the third.
Boone (1-0) got the win as he struck out four and yielded two runs. Chase Richardson had three singles, and Robinson and Helms had a single and double each.
In the victory over Calhoun City, Helms got the win as he went five innings, allowing six runs on five hits, walking five and striking out six. He also had a double and triple, and Bailey had a home run. Richardson had a single and triple, and Robinson had a single and double. Miles Bailey had a double, and Tommarion Brown had a single and double.
Winona, which played host to French Camp Tuesday, visits Louisville Friday and goes to French Camp Saturday.

The Lady Tigers went 1-2 in three games played last week, moving their overall record to 2-3.
Winona fell 20-3 to Eupora High School on Feb. 20. Dorothy Martin and Alisha Taylor had base hits for the Lady Tigers.
In a game last Thursday against French Camp, the Lady Tigers dropped a 17-2 decision.
Winona picked up a 22-5 win over Water Valley last Friday night. Olivia Swindle had a single and double.
Winona, which played Calhoun City Tuesday, visits Leake Central Thursday and entertains Water Valley Friday.
