Vaiden alderman resigns, board declares vacancy

The Town of Vaiden will hold a special election after one aldermen resigned due to health issues.
During Vaiden’s Oct. 5 night meeting, which was rescheduled from their normal monthly Monday night meeting, Mayor Stella Washington-Bell said Alderman Glynn Downs tenured his resignation during their September meeting.

Dees says, “The best is yet to come.”

Aaron Dees, mayor of the City of Winona, is looking to return to work on Nov. 8.
He has been away from his duties as mayor since mid-September after he started experiencing “chest pains, squeezing and tightness” in his chest.
