The Winona Christian basketball teams won just one of three games this past week.
Winona opened the week with a district contest at Carroll as the Rebels won 70-44 while the Lady Rebels won 38-28.
On Thursday, both teams lost at Magnolia Heights as the Chiefs won 72-38 and the Lady Chiefs won 43-31.
Winona Christian finished out the week as they hosted Hebron and took a pair of wins as the Stars won 95-50 and the Lady Stars won 51-25.
Winona Christian only has one scheduled game this week as they will travel to Benton on Friday. Both teams will then be off until Friday, Jan. 3 when Winona hosts Carroll Academy.
The Stars came just five points shy of breaking the century mark as they took a 45-point win over the Eagles on Friday.
The Stars dominated early as they outscored the Eagles 28-2 in the first period and led 42-17 at the half. Both teams filled up the basket in the third period as Winona outscored Hebron 32-24 to lead Five Winona players scored in double figures as Reed Roberts led the Stars with 19 points. Jon White and Dalton Wiggins each had 14 points while Choyce Diffey had 12 points and Latham Hill added 11 points.
WCS girls 51, Hebron 25
The Lady Stars overcame a slow start and went on to take a 26-point win over the Lady Eagles.
Hebron led 8-7 at the end of the first before Winona outscored the Lady Eagles 13-5 in the second to lead 20-13 at the half. Winona continued to expand its lead in the second half as they outscored Hebron 15-11 in the third and 15-1 in the fourth.
Bella Roberts led Winona with 21 points while Autumn Lishman and Olivia Brooks each had 11 points apiece.
Magnolia Heights boys 72, WCS 38
The Chiefs outscored the Stars in every period and took a 34-point win.
Magnolia Heights jumped out to a 21-3 lead and led 41-14 at the half. The Chiefs continued to expand their lead as they outscored Winona 14-11 in the third and 17-13 in the fourth.
Choyce Diffey led Winona with 14 points while Latham Hill had 10 points and Reed Roberts added eight points.
Magnolia Heights girls 43, WCS 31
The Lady Chiefs pulled away with a big third period and took a 12-point win over the Lady Stars.
Magnolia Heights led 14-10 at the end of the first and 20-17 at the half. The Lady Chiefs put the game away in the third, outscoring the Lady Stars 17-6 to take a 37-23 lead into the fourth.
