The Winona Christian Stars should be well rested by the time the Class AA playoffs begin.
The Stars played just one game last week, a 6-0 loss to Manchester .as they must wait until May 1 to begin the playoffs against the Mavericks.
As the district champions, Winona Christian will take on Manchester in a best two-out-of-three series. Game 1 will be this Tuesday at Manchester while the series will move to Winona for Game 2 on Thursday and an if-necessary game to follow. Game 1 will be a 6 p.m. start while Game 2 will be a 4 p.m. start with the if-necessary game to follow.
The Stars added a game this week against North Delta at home this Thursday before beginning the playoffs.

Manchester scored two in the first, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Winona managed just one hit in the contest, a single by Shaw Ferguson. Treyton Whitten did walk twice in the game.
Four pitchers saw time on the mound for Winona as Wyatt Chambley pitched three innings, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks while Reed Roberts pitched two and gave up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three. Latham Hill pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on one hit while striking out two. Whitten pitched the final inning, giving up one run on one hit and two walks.
