Several area private-school players finished out their high school careers last week in the MAIS Class 1A-2A-3A all-star football game.
The Blue squad beat the White squad 23-17. Winona Christian head coach Junior Graham was the offensive coordinator for the Blue squad while Carroll Academy’s Bo Milton was the head coach for the White squad.
Morgan Mims was the quarterback for Milton and the White team. Mims was 2-of-10 passing for 20 yards and rushed for 57 yards on six carries, which included a 42-yard run. On defense, Carroll’s Logan Taylor had five tackles for the White team and also force a fumble. Ben Pinkard had two tackles, including one tackle for a loss. Also playing for the White squad was Carroll’s Reese Fulton.
For the Blue team, Winona Christian’s Choyce Diffey had three catches for 62 yards with a 28-yard catch and one touchdown. Latham Hill also had a good game with three catches for 47 yards. Reed Roberts had one catch for six yards.
