The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels only got in one game last week and dropped a 14-13 decision to Indianola Academy.
The Lady Rebels returned to action this week as they traveled to Central Holmes for a district contest. On Saturday, Carroll will host their annual tournament this Saturday.
Indianola scored 10 runs over the last three innings to come back and beat the Lady Rebels on Tuesday.
Carroll scored three in the first, second and fourth innings and led 10-4 after four innings. The Lady Rebels added three runs in the sixth inning while Indianola scored four in the second and fifth innings. The Lady Colonels then scored five in the sixth and one in the seventh to take the walk-off win.
Carroll outhit Indianola but had eight errors and issued 10 walks.
Bella Carter had a big game for Carroll at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs. Helen Claire Cobb was 3-for-5 and scored two runs while Mary Jordan Milton was 3-for-5 with a double. Meri Brynn Reeves was 2-for-4 while Kaitlynn Chamblee tripled and scored two runs. Presley Woods had a double and scored two runs while Kaylee Ferguson walked twice and had two RBIs.
Alana Garrett had four stolen bases and scored two runs while Chamblee and Reeves each had two stolen bases.
Peyton Perry pitched all six innings for Carroll and gave up just seven hits and struck out four, giving up just six earned runs.
