The Winona Christian Lady Stars grabbed a pair of big district fast-pitch softball wins last week.
The Lady Stars took a big 9-8 win over Central Holmes on Monday and then beat Carroll 16-5 on Tuesday.
On Saturday, Winona played in the Bayou Tournament, falling 5-0 to Lee Academy, 7-5 to Central Holmes and 10-0 to Bayou.
Winona was set to play at the Indianola Tournament on Tuesday and play at the Carroll Academy Tournament on Saturday.
Winona Christian 16, Carroll 5
The Lady Stars got off to a quick start and took a five-inning, run-rule win on Tuesday in division play.
Winona scored six runs in the first, two in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth. Carroll scored one in the first, second and fourth and two in the third.
Winona had 12 hits as Sara Rawles was 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Haley Beckwith was 2-for-4 with three runs scored while Harlee Whitten was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Lennie Wood was 2-for-4 while McKinley Ingram walked twice and scored three runs. Hope Pierce also scored three runs while Ashley Parkinson and Hannah Robertson each scored twice. Pierce had four stolen bases while Parkinson had two steals.
Sara Rawles pitched all five innings and gave up five runs, only two earned, on nine hits.

Central Holmes 8
The Lady Stars overcame a slow start and came back to take a one-run win in division play on Monday.
Central Holmes went up 4-1 in the first inning and added one in the fifth and three in the seventh. After falling behind 4-1 in the first, Winona scored three in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth.
Central Holmes outhit Winona 10-8 in the contest. Haley Beckwith was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and three RBIs. Lennie Wood was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Hope Pierce was 2-for-4. Beckwith, McKinley Ingram and Ashleigh Parkinson each had two stolen bases.
Sara Rawles pitched all seven innings to pick up the win, scattering 10 hits and giving up four earned runs.
Lee 5, Winona Christian 0
Lee scored four runs in the first inning and took a four-inning shutout win on Saturday.
Lee outhit Winona 5-2. Hope Pierce and Haley Beckwith singled for Winona.
Pierce pitched all four innings and gave up five runs, only two earned and struck out five.
Central Holmes 7,

The Lady Trojans started fast and took a 3 1/2 inning non-division contest on Saturday.
Central Holmes scored five runs in the first and two in the second. Winona scored one in the first, two in the second and third innings.
Each team had seven hits in the contest. Caylon Marlow signed and had two RBIs while Ashleigh Parkinson singled and score two runs. Lennie Wood singled and Sara Rawles each singled drove in a run while Hope Pierce singled and scored. McKinley Ingram also singled.
Bayou 10, Winona Christian 0
The Lady Colts scored in each of the first three innings to take a run-rule win on Saturday.
Bayou scored three in the first, two in the second and five in the third. Bayou outhit Winona 7-2 but the Lady Stars committed five errors.
