The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels won one out of three contests last week on the softball diamond.
The Lady Rebels fell 7-5 in a district contest to Central Holmes before splitting a pair of games in the Carroll tournament, beating Benton 7-5 and losing to Winona Christian 11-4.
Carroll only has one scheduled game this week as they were scheduled to host Jackson Victors on Tuesday in a 4 p.m. contest.
Central Holmes 7, CA 5
The Lady Trojans used a four-run fourth inning and held on to take a two-run win over the Lady Rebels on Tuesday.
Carroll scored two in the second and sixth and one in the third.
Carroll had eight hits as Kaitlyn Chamblee was 2-for-3 while Sara Austin Welch was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Bella Carter tripled and scored while Meri Brynn Reeves doubled and drove in a run. Helen Claire Cobb singled and drove in a run while Mary Braxton Cobb singled and scored a run. Alana Garrett also scored two runs.
CA 7, Benton 5
The Lady Rebels scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a two run win over Benton on Saturday at the Carroll Tournament.
Carroll scored single runs in the first, second, third and fourth and finished with four in the fourth.
Carroll had 12 hits in the contest, led by Helen Claire Cobb who was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Alana Garrett was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Bella Carter was 2-for-3 and had two stolen bases. Presley Woods was 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs scored. Meri Brynn Reeves also had three stolen bases.
Winona Christian 11, CA 4
Winona scored nine runs in the second inning to take a time-limit win on Saturday in a non-district contest.
Winona scored two in the first and nine in the second. Carroll scored one in the first and three in the third.
Carroll had eight hits in the contest, led by Alana Garrett who was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Bella Carter was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs while Mary Jordan Milton was 2-for-2.
