The Winona Christian Lady Stars won three out of five contests last week on the softball diamond.
The Lady Stars beat Indianola 11-9 on Tuesday and then beat Benton 16-0 and Carroll 11-4 on Saturday. The Lady Stars lost 7-0 to Washington and 5-1 to Silliman.
Winona, now 13-6 on the season, will play at Central Holmes on Tuesday and will then play at the Holmes Community College tournament on Saturday.
Winona Christian 11, Indianola 9
The Lady Stars scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a two-run win over the Lady Colonels on Tuesday.
Indianola scored five runs in the first inning before Winona responded with seven in the second. Winona added single runs in the fifth and sixth and two in the seventh.
Winona had 13 hits, led by Lennie Wood who was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Sara Rawles was 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored while McKinley Ingram was 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Caylon Marlow was 2-for-4 while Ashleigh Parkinson scored two runs.
Rawles pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits while striking out four. Hope Pierce pitched the last 1 1/3 innings and struck out three to pick up the win.
Washington 7, Winona Christian 0
The Lady Stars only had three hits as they dropped a four-inning, run-rule win on Saturday at the Carroll Tournament.
Winona only had three hits, singles by Sara Rawles, Lennie Wood and Miranda McDaniel.
Winona 16, Benton 0
The Lady Stars scored 11 runs in the first inning and cruised to a three-inning victory on Saturday.
Winona had eight hits, drew five walks, had five hit batters and three reach on errors.
Hope Pierce was 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs while Haley Beckwith was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs. Kaylah Brooke Varnes and Caylon Marlow each had three RBIs while Sara Rawles, Ashleigh Parkinson, Harlee Whitten and McKinley Ingram each scored two runs apiece.
Sara Rawles pitched two innings without giving up a hit and struck out five while Allie Rawles pitched 1/3 of an inning.
Winona Christian 11, Carroll 4
Winona scored nine runs in the second inning to take a time-limit win on Saturday in a non-district contest.
Winona scored two in the first and nine in the second. Carroll scored one in the first and three in the third.
Winona had just four hits but drew seven walks. Haley Beckwith was 2-for-2 with three RBIs while Sara Rawles walked twice and scored twice. McKinley Ingram and Ashley Parkinson each singled, scored and had an RBI.
Allie Rawles pitched three innings and gave up four runs on seven hits.
Silliman 5, Winona Christian 1
The Lady Stars fell in four innings to traditional power Silliman on Saturday.
Each team scored one run in the first while Silliman added four in the second.
Winona had three hits on singles by McKinley Ingram, Haley Beckwith and Harlee Whitten. Sara Rawles scored a run while Whitten had an RBI.
Sara Rawles pitched 2 innings and gave up five unearned runs on three hits and three walks while Allie Rawles pitched the last 1 2/3 innings.
