The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels broke into the win column last week with a pair of blowout wins.
The Lady Rebels got their first win with a 10-2 win over Jackson Victors on Monday and then hammered Humphreys Academy 21-2 on Tuesday.
Friday’s game with Heritage Academy was called after two innings because of rain with Carroll leading 1-0.
The Lady Rebels were schedule to host Indianola Academy on Monday and then host Central Holmes on Tuesday in their only scheduled action this week.
Carroll 10, Jackson Victors 2
The Lady Rebels got a big game out of Bella Carter and Kaylee Ferguson to take an eight-run win over Jackson Victors on Monday of last week.
The Lady Rebels banged out 17 hits in the contest to take the win. Bella Carter was 4-for-4 with a double, four stolen bases and four runs scored. Kaylee Ferguson was 4-for-4 with a double, five stolen bases and two runs scored. Helen Claire Cobb was 3-for-4 with four stolen bases while Mary Jordan Milton was 3-for-4 with a double, three stolen bases and two RBIs. Presley Woods was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three stolen bases while Sara Austin Welch doubled and drove in a run.
Peyton Perry picked up the win on the mound, scattering 10 hits over seven innings and striking out 10.
Carroll 21, Humphreys 2
The Lady Rebels grabbed their second win of the season with a blowout win over Humphreys.
The Lady Rebels scored 11 runs in the first inning with four hits, five walks and 10 hit batters. In the second inning, the Lady Rebels scored 10 runs on six hits and six walks.
The Lady Rebels had 10 hits and drew 11 walks in the game.
Meri Brynn Reeves was 2-for-2 with a double, triple and three runs scored. Helen Claire Cobb was 2-for-2 with a double, single, three runs scored and three stolen bases.
Mary Braxton Cobb had a single and scored three runs. Sara Austin Welch and Alan Garrett each scored three runs apiece.
Peyton Perry started on the mound for the Lady Rebels and picked up the win, giving up two runs on one hit.
