The Carroll Academy softball team lost both games they played last week, but rebounded to beat Humphreys Academy 21-2 and Jackson Victors 10-2.
The Lady Rebels lost 12-4 to Benton on Monday and 11-2 to Washington on Friday.
The Lady Rebels will have Meet the Rebels on Thursday and will then host Heritage on Friday. Carroll will then host a junior varsity tournament on Saturday.
Results on the Humphreys and Jackson Victors games will be in next week’s paper.
Benton Academy 12, Carroll 4
The Lady Raiders used a steady supply of offense to take a rain-shortened win on Monday.
Carroll led 1-0 after the first before Benton scored three in the second and two in the third. Benton exploded with seven runs in the fourth while Carroll scored one in the fourth and two in the fifth.
Benton outhit Carroll 14-6 in the contest. Kaitlyn Chamblee was 2-for-3 with a doubled, one run scored and one RBI. Meri Brynn Reeves was 2-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases. Helen Claire Cobb singled and scored a run.
Peyton Perry pitched all four innings for Carroll.
Washington 11, Carroll 2
The Lady Generals used a pair of big innings to take a run-rule win over Carroll on Friday.
Washington scored four runs in the first and third innings while scoring three in the fourth.
Washington outhit Carroll 10-2. Meri Brynn Reeves and Presley Woods each had singled while Woods had two stolen bases.
Peyton Perry pitched all five innings for Carroll.
