Lofton advances to State 2A powerlifting meet

J.Z. George High School's Jakobi Lofton qualified for the State 2A powerlifting meet by placing second at the North 2A meet on Feb. 22 at East Union High School. Lofton competes in the 308-pound weight class. The junior Jaguar will participate in the state meet at the Mississippi Coliseum on March 29.

Galaxy Cheer takes second place

On Feb. 15, the Galaxy Cheer and Tumbling Competition Cheer team from Carrollton showcased their talent at their season opener, earning an impressive second-place finish! These local girls are now preparing for their second competition, Deep South Spirit's Kings of Rock, scheduled for March 8 at the Landers Center in Southaven.

Rebels drop doubleheader to Washington School

Washington won the first game 15-6 and the second game 16-7.
