The Winona Christian Lady Stars picked up a pair of wins last week.
The Lady Stars opened district play with a 53-24 win over rival Carroll Academy and then beat Marshall Academy 57-36.
The Stars dropped both contests last week, falling 62-41 to Marshall and 60-50 to Carroll Academy.

CA and WCS both well-represented at MAIS

Carroll Academy and Winona Christian were both well represented in the Class 3A All-MAIS team.
Carroll Academy placed seven players on the team, highlighted by Cooper Beck, who was named the Class 3A Defensive Player of Year.

WHS ten-game winning streak comes to end

Winona’s 10-game winning streak to start the season came to an end on Monday night.
The Tigers dropped their first game, falling 43-37 to Class 4A Kosciusko on Monday. Last week, the Tigers grabbed three wins, beating Ethel 54-48, French Camp 55-35 and Choctaw County 56-37.
