Lady Stars Number One Seed in District 2-3A Play

The Winona Christian girls completed a perfect run through District 2-3A competition.
The Lady Stars finished off district play with a 46-23 win over Central Holmes and finished up regular-season play with a 56-43 win over Manchester.

Jags 3-2 in Region

The J.Z. George boys basketball team went 1-1 in Region 4-2A play last week, but the one loss was a big one as it dropped the Jaguars to third place for the upcoming region tournament next week.

Graham accepts new position

After six seasons at Winona Christian, football coach Junior Graham resigned his position last week.
Graham announced last week that he has stepped down as head football coach and will be taking a job at Starkville Academy.
Graham said he has nothing but special feelings for Winona Christian.

Lady Tigers 5-8 Season Ends in Playoffs

The Winona High School girls soccer team traveled to Amory Tuesday night for a first-round Class 1 playoff game against the Lady Panthers.
Amory proved to have too much offense as it beat the Lady Tigers 7-0, ending Winona’s season at 5-8 overall.
