Jaguars kick off regular season on Friday

J.Z. George officially kicks off its 2022 season Friday as they travel to Alcorn Central High School in north Mississippi.
Alcorn Central was added to the schedule after last season’s first-game opponent, Greenville Christian School, was not available to play.

Lady Stars take win in district play

The Winona Christian Lady Stars split four games last week on the softball diamond.
The Stars beat Central Holmes 13-5 on Monday in a district contest. Then on Saturday, Winona lost 9-2 to Simpson County Academy before beating Jackson Prep 6-2. They ended the day on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to 6A contender Hartfield.

Stars open season against Rebels Friday

The Winona Christian football team will find out quickly how much progress they have made since last season under coach Ken Chandler.
The Stars will open the regular season this week as they host rival Carroll Academy, a team that beat them 50-0 last year.
