Lady Rebs take two wins

The Carroll Academy Lady Rebels grabbed a pair of lopsided district wins last week in their only two games on the schedule.
Carroll opened up the week with a 16-4 win over Indianola and then hammered Central Holmes 17-0 behind a no-hit effort from pitcher Peyton Perry.

Bays is one to watch at WHS

When the Winona defense takes the field this season, coach Joey Tompkins knows who he can go to battle with.
Senior cornerback Bobo Bays is one of those players.
Bays will be a three-year starter for the Tigers this season, returning at cornerback.

Lady Stars win four of five in fastpitch play

The Winona Christian Lady Stars continued their strong play as they won four out of five games last week.
The Lady Stars opened the week with a 14-1 win over Winston on Thursday. Then on Saturday, they beat Central Holmes 7-2, Indianola 6-3 and Carroll 15-0. They then lost to Tri-County 9-0.
