WCS finish 2nd in North

The Winona Christian Lady Stars finished second in the Class 4A North State tournament that finished up on Monday.
Winona opened with a 4-2 win over Lee and then lost 8-1 to North Delta. On Monday, the Lady Stars came back and beat Carroll and Lee 12-6 each and then took a 9-8 win over North Delta before falling to Marshall 11-3.

Lady Tigers take first place in Region 3-3A

Winona High School’s girls’ volleyball team wrapped up first place in Region 3-3A with a 3-0 match win over Amanda Elzy on Sept. 22 in Greenwood.
The Lady Tigers, who are 9-9 overall and finish league play at 6-0, won the sets, 25-17, 25-13 and 25-21.
