Stars dominates North Delta 42-21

Winona Christian football coach Ashley Kuhn was worried about the North Delta offense heading into Friday night’s contest.

But the Stars used a bend but don’t break defense and scored 28 unanswered points in the first half and cruised to a 42-21 win over the Green Wave on Friday night.

Jaguars aim to bounce back at Eupora in Region 4-2A matchup

The Jaguars of J.Z. George look to right the ship as they travel to Eupora High School to face the Eagles at 7 p.m. Friday in a Region 4-2A contest.

J.Z. George (2-4 overall, 0-1 in region) is coming off a 44-14 loss to Philadelphia High School last week. The Jags only trailed 20-14 at the half.

The Tigers begin Region 3-3A play Friday as they take on the Panthers of Yazoo County High School at 7 p.m. in Yazoo City.
