Graveside services for Mrs. Evelyn Louise Bell Crouch, of Duck Hill, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Duck Hill, with the Rev. Terry Corley officiating. Pallbearers were Michael Crouch, Sr., Shawn Crouch, Michael Doering, Johnathan Crouch, Dave Canstantian, and Tim McBride. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Crouch, Jr. Morris Timbs, and Brayden Sitzes.
Mrs. Evelyn Louise Bell Crouch, 89, passed away at her home in Duck Hill on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born in Poydras, La., in the St. Bernard Parish, to Leslie Irbie and Lelia Stiller Bell on October 25, 1934. She was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church. She graduated from Duck Hill High School and attended Drones Business College in Memphis. She was employed for over 30 years as an associate for Sears. She was a member of the North Carolina Genealogical Society, Giles County, Tennessee Historical Society, Hancock County Historical Society, the Grenada chapter of DAR, and was a genealogist for 48 years. She was an avid reader and was the author of several Historical reference books.
Mrs. Crouch is survived by her daughter, Christie Rena Crouch Genola (Lewis) of Duck Hill; two grandchildren, Michael Aaron Crouch, Sr. (Becky) of Texas, and Shawn Patrick Crouch (Lisa) of Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Aaron Crouch, Jr., Johnathan Lee Crouch, Jennifer Nicole Crouch, Cole Blake Crouch, and Zachary Austin Crouch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Henry Lee Crouch, Sr.; son, Henry Lee Crouch, Jr.; and sister, Karen Ann Bell Norman.
