A Montgomery County church was broken into Friday evening, and Montgomery County deputies are working to find the culprit.
According to Montgomery County Sheriff Bubba Nix, Eskridge Baptist Church was burglarized last Friday afternoon. Nix said a church member drove by the church and discovered the back door kicked in.
Deputy Calvin “Dooney” Young responded to the call. Nix said Young and the church member went inside the church to see if anything was missing.
“It did not appear that anything was stolen,” Nix said.
The only damage done was the broken door.
Nix said the incident is still under investigation.
