I want to tell you that I must be one of the luckiest people in the whole world! In the past few months, I have won a cruise, a home generator, a chain saw, and a set of really nice pots and pans. All I need to do is send them my credit card number so that the postage or freight can be paid. That's all they need, nothing else. I feel so blessed? I would really feel less blessed once they were in a position to have my credit card number and then they could all have a spectacular time with all the niceties they could buy with that little piece of plastic.
I, evidently have back tax debt because I am offered every day, two or three times a day, the opportunity to talk to someone, nice fellow, who can help me with a way to pay these overdue taxes and do away with the taxes due from years ago. I have also been caught not paying my tolls for the roads I use everyday and I am so close to having to be incarcerated but, they have another nice fellow who can also help me with this to avoid such a happening. I have unpaid parking and speeding fines that have been accumulating for several years and again I may be put into the "clinker" before too long but, again they have someone who can help me with this dilemma. All I need to do is give them my credit card number and they will happily take care of this for me. Yes, I bet they would be happy. We are not on the Medicare program and I am offered so many supplements ALL DAY LONG. When I tell them I don't have Medicare they reply, "You don't have Medicare?" Assuming I am old enough for Medicare is rather rude if I do say so!
My husband used to get so many calls from a phone number in Jamaica always calling for a "Mr. Marshall." Someone had left him a goodly sum of money and they would not accept that he was not Mr. Marshall. After this went on for several months my husband told them he was Mr. Marshall and what did he have to do to collect the money. They told him that he needed to send them $500 first to pay for the attorney fees and they would handle everything else. Just tell me really, are people this gullible as to buy into these scams?
One of my sons was working in one if our stores one day and a fraudster called him. Marc being the one to always be the jokester turned the scam toward him. He asked the man to hold on one second and then he proceeded to talk into the phone asking the imaginary people with him to draw a chalk line around the body before they moved it and to not touch the gun. The caller disconnected the call.
It seems Elon Musk has found so very much fraud with all the parts of our government I wonder if he could or would get on this aggravating problem of the harassing phone calls and put an end to them. Something or someone has to do something. I do have a filter on my phone that stops all calls that seems to be a Spam Risk but now they leave me a voice message. The last one I got just this morning said the caller was, UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. Think Mr. Trump needs me to help Elon?
If I get the call, I just ignore it. If my husband gets the call? Well, let's just say the caller gets his ears scorched.
