Mr. Jerry E. Windham, 89, of Carroll County, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his residence. Born July 6, 1935, in Carroll County to Ernest Estelle and Gladys Taylor Windham, Jerry devoted over 40 years to Heatcraft in Grenada. Alongside his career, he was a dedicated cattle farmer in Carroll County, a venture he nurtured well into his later years. A faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, Jerry was known for his quiet strength, work ethic, and devotion to his family.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Bud Vance officiating. Interment followed in the Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the service Thursday all at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Wiltshire of Poplarville; son, Jerry Wayne Windham(Doris) of Brandon; grandson, Beau Wiltshire(Brooke) and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Jackson and Benjamin Wiltshire, all of Poplarville.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 70 years, Joyce Wilson Windham; son, Jimmy Frank Windham and a sister, Peggy Chapuis.
Memorials may be directed to the Calvary Baptist Church, Calvary Cemetery Fund or to Gideons International.
Pallbearers were Gary Blair, Alan Jackson, Louie Nail, Roger Owen, Chris Walls, James R. Wilson and Jackson Wiltshire. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Costilow, Herman Heath, Danny Jackson and Charles Vance.
