Winona Christian got some strong play out of its girls singles in two recent tennis matches.
Bella Roberts and Allie Rawles won both of their matches against Oak Hill and Marshall Academy.
Winona Christian will continue its tennis action as the Stars will take on Marshall Academy on Thursday and then prepare for the Class AA North State Tournament at Greenville on Monday, April 30.
Winona Christian lost a close match with Oak Hill, 5-4, last week.
In girls singles, Winona Christian took both points as Bella Roberts won 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot while Allie Rawles won 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
In girls doubles, Hope Farmer and Rana Paige Davis took a 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 win in a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 1 spot while Autumn Lishman and Haley Evans lost 5-7, 3-6 in a close match at No. 2 doubles.
In mixed doubles, Swayze Marquerd and David Morgan lost 6-2, 6-3.
On the boys side, Logan Graham won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. In boys doubles, Reece Johnson and Deuce Mooneyham lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Braden Standford and Eli Lewis lost 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
In girls singles in a 6-3 loss to Marshall Academy, Winona was solid as Bella Robertson won 6-2, 6-1 at the no. 1 spot while Allie Rawles won 6-3, 6-2.
In boys singles, Logan Graham dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision.
In girls doubles, Marshall took both matches as Hope Farmer and Rana Paige Davis lost 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Haley Evans and Autumn Lishman lost 6-1-6-4 at the No. 2 spot.
