Winona police officer fired after domestic violence arrest

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in the early morning hours of June 27. The call was regarding a domestic disturbance at 2271 MS Hwy. 82 in Kilmichael. The on-scene investigation led to the arrest of Winona Police Officer James Burnett Sr. for the charges of Aggravated Domestic Violence and Kidnapping.
