Two Grenada men are facing auto burglary charges in Carroll County.
According to Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker, Toddric Crawford, 22, and Larry Harris, 26, of Grenada were arrested around 4:30 a.m. on December 17, 2018, and charged with auto burglary.
According to Walker, the arrest was in connection with an auto burglary in the Jefferson Community area of Carroll County earlier that evening. The suspects were arrested near County Road 81, and deputies discovered weapons from the auto burglary near the location of the arrest.
Walker said a dog at the residence of a burglary alerted homeowners, who contacted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.
“We are hoping DNA and other evidence will link them to three other auto burglaries in the Jefferson area,” Walker said.
Both men were transported to the Carroll Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility in Vaiden. Harris is being held on a $50,000 bond. Crawford, who was out on bond in Grenada County for murder at the time of the arrest, is being held without bond. Walker said the investigation is ongoing.
