Citizens of Winona,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Amber Henley Ware. I humbly request your vote in this year’s election for Alderman for Ward 1.
Born to Randy and Lynn Henley, I have spent my entire life in Montgomery County and have a great love for Winona and its people. My husband Shawn and I have owned and operated a small business for nine years. We continue to thrive thanks to the support of Winona. Our two children, Jayden (9) and McKinsey (3) are growing and thriving in the warm and supportive school system of Winona.
My dedication to Winona extends beyond family and business. Currently, I am the treasurer for the Winona Beautification Committee (Winona Active). We are dedicated to preserving Winona as well as bringing new, fun, and exciting events to our citizens, the City Block Party and Trunk or Treat to name a few. I am also an active member of the Tourism Committee where I work with grants and fund management.
I would like the opportunity to help the citizens of Ward 1, along with the City of Winona, to grow and thrive for the generations to come. I believe our City has so much more to offer if only we show the initiative to help it.
I would be honored to earn your vote and serve as your voice on the Board of Aldermen. My commitment is to be accessible, responsive, and proactive in addressing Ward 1's needs while working collaboratively with fellow board members to advance Winona's interests.
