WINONA -- It took firefighters more than six hours to extinguish a fire that destroyed Crossroads Small Engine in Winona Monday night.

According to Winona Fire Chief Brad Mooneyham, Winona firefighters responded to the report of a fire at Crossroads Small Engine, located at 1218 Highway 51 North, at 9:44 p.m. Monday night.

Police crack down on speeding

According to Winona Chief of Police Tommy Bibbs, his officers wrote more than 100 tickets in the month of December, most of those for ignoring the speed limit.
According to Bibbs, after the Winona Board of Aldermen passed on speeding complaints from citizens to Bibbs, his officers began to pay extra attention to Winona’s roadways.
