VPD arrests one in shed burglary

A Vaiden man is facing burglary of a building charges.
According to Vaiden Chief of Police Ickret Bennett, Benjamin “Midnight” Yancy, 53, of Vaiden has been arrested and charged with burglary of a building. He is currently waiting for his initial appearance which should be held this morning.

According to Winona Fire Chief Brad Mooneyham, firefighters responded to a call on January 1 at 6:55 a.m. to a home at 568 Bluff Springs Road in Winona.

Cold weather means hot soup

Now that central Mississippi has become downright arctic, all I can think about is something warm and inviting and served in a bowl.
I love soup. Even in the heat of the summer, I can eat a steaming bowl of potato soup, topped with crispy bacon and shredded cheese.
