PUBLIC NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID FOR HUNTING AND FISHING RIGHTS ON SIXTEENTH SECTION LANDS
To all persons interested in the following described forest lands in Carroll County, Mississippi, to-wit:

You are hereby notified that sealed bids to lease the hunting and fishing rights on the above described forest lands for a 5 year term may be filed with the Superintendent of Education of the Carroll County School District at 603 Lexington Street, Carrollton, MS 38917, no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Minimum bids for these lands are posted with each parcel above. The sealed bids shall be submitted for the ENTIRE PARCEL in the form of cashier’s check or money order made payable to Carroll County School District for the amount equal to 100% of the amount bid for that parcel. This amount will be refunded if is not the highest bid. The sealed bids will be opened shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 during the School Board meeting which will be held at the Vaiden City Hall in Vaiden, Mississippi.
Tract descriptions and bid packets may be obtained at the Office of the Superintendent of Education, P.O. Box 256, Carrollton, MS 38917 or by calling (662)-237-9276, Extension 4, or by visiting the Carroll County School District Superintendent of Education’s office.
The Carroll County Board of Education reserves the right to reduce the term or reject any and all bids, but if bids are accepted, the Board will award said hunting and fishing lease to the highest bidder in the manner provided by law. All leases awarded by the Board must be approved by the Mississippi Secretary of State before they commence.

Notice to all financial institutions in Carroll County whose accounts are insured by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporations or Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation:
Sealed bids will be received from such financial institutions up to and no later than 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Office of the Superintendent of Education at 603 Lexington Street in Carrollton, Mississippi for the privilege of keeping Carroll County School funds or any portion thereof, all in accordance with the requirements and provisions of Section 37-5-31, 37-7-333, 37-7-631, and 27-105-305 as amended, Mississippi Code of 1972 and other related sections and laws pertaining to depositories of county school funds.

SPECIAL COMMISSIONER’S NOTICE OF SALE
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1998, Glaydis H. Hodges and Robert H. Hodges, Married executed a certain Deed of Trust to Larry E. Peacock, Trustee for the benefit of Magnolia Estates of V'Burg, IN which Deed of Trust is of record in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Carroll County, State of Mississippi in Book 163 at Page 269; and
WHEREAS, U.S. Bank, N.A. as trustee for Manufactured Housing Contract Senior/Subordinate Pass-Through Certificate Trust 1998-5, as Servicer with delegated authority under the transaction documents was confirmed to be the holder of said Deed of Trust by Chancery Cause No. 2017-0076 (F) dated February 6, 2018; and
WHEREAS, J. Gary Massey was appointed Special Commissioner and authorized to sell the subject property by Chancery Cause No. 2017-0076(f) , by judgment dated February 6, 2018; and
WHEREAS, default having been made in the terms and conditions of said deed of trust and the entire debt secured thereby having been declared to be due and payable in accordance with the terms of said deed of trust, and the Chancery Court, having requested the undersigned Special Commissioner to execute the trust and sell said land and property in accordance with the terms of said deed of trust and for the purpose of raising the sums due thereunder, together with attorney's fees, trustee's fees and expense of sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. Gary Massey, Special Commissioner in said deed of trust, will on June 7, 2018 offer for sale at public outcry and sell within legal hours (being between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.), at the West Door of the County Courthouse of Carroll County, located at Carrollton, Mississippi, to the highest and best bidder for cash the following described property situated in Carroll County, State of Mississippi, to-wit:
Begin at a point on the South line of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 11, Township 18 North, Range 3 East where it joins Mississippi Highway 17 as a Point of Reference. From said Point of Reference proceed East along the South line of the NW 1/4 of said Section 180 feet, more or less, to a point, thence proceed North 30 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of this Mary Hodges property (DB43-P508), said point being the Point of Beginning of said one (1) acre tract. From the said Point of Beginning proceed along the East line of the Mary Hodges property 230 feet, more or less, to a point on the South line of Old Mississippi Highway 17 (gravel), thence proceed in a Northwesterly direction along the South line of said gravel road 105 feet, more or less, to a point thence proceed in a Southwesterly direction parallel with the East line of said property 250 feet, more or less, to a point on the South line of the Mary Hodges property; thence proceed in a Southeasterly direction along the South line of Mary Hodges property 105 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
