Hattie Louise Cain, 85, of Harvey, Ill. and formerly of Carrollton, died Feb. 1 at the University of Chicago Hospital in Harvey.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home in Winona. It continued from 9:30 a.m. until service began at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church in McCarley. Burial was in the church’s cemetery. There was not a viewing after the eulogy and Rev. Mark Williamson officiated service.
Mrs. Cain was a cook.
She is survived by her daughter Annie Cain of Chicago; three sons, Harry Cain Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind., Harold Cain of Chicago and Gregory Cain of Winona; a sister, Eloise Simpson of McCarley; three brothers, Sylvester Thomas of Coila, Robert Earl Thomas of Winona and Lemon Thomas of McCarley and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
