Wanda Kaye Daves of Winona, 63, died at her home on Friday, October 11.
A visitation was held on Monday, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona, with burial following. Rev. Jay Anderson officiated the service and serving as pallbearers were Shane Brister, Andrew Brister, Chad Davis, Gerald Montgomery, Timothy Blankenship, Evan Garner, and Scotty King.
Mrs. Daves was born in West Point on May 30, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Lewis Langford and the late Ruby Grantham Smith. She was a licensed practical nurse and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona. Mrs. Daves was also active in the Montgomery County Arts Council, the Winona Junior Auxiliary, and the DAR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Robert "Buck" Brister.
Mrs. Daves is survived by her husband, David Earl Daves of Winona; sons, Benjamin Fredrick Dungan of Winona and Jason Daves of Talladega, Alabama; sister, Kathy Brister of Winona; brother, Roger Brister of Stewart; and five grandchildren.
