Earnest Phil Roberts, 62, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts was born to Robert A. Roberts and Villie Dempsey in Sunflower County on June 13, 1956. He graduated high school in Hot Springs, Ark. He was a resident of Greenwood, for the past 42 years, and he was employed at Viking, Inc. the past 15 years. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sara Denson, and brother, Robert A. Roberts, Jr.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Linda Perry Roberts of Greenwood; son, Terry Roberts and wife Suzanne of Greenwood; daughter, Carrie Vest and husband Frank of Vidalia, La.; brother, Jerry Lee Roberts of Greenwood; and six grandchildren, Chris Vest and wife Zoie, Landon Vest, Breanna Vest, Emma Claire Vest, Saralyn Roberts, and Nealy Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Jerry William Roberts, David Rutherford, Sr., David Rutherford, Jr., C.J. Robertson, Greg Walker, and Ethan Haddon. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Rutherford, Corbin Walker, Gage Walker, Terry Roberts, Chris Vest, and Craig Bontrager.
