Clifton “Cliff” Goss

Clifton “Cliff” Goss, 80, of Carroll County died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Riverview Nursing Home.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home and Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moore’s Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate.

 Mr. Goss was born to William “Bud” Goss and Cecil McDaniel Goss on June 2, 1938 in Carroll County. He attended Valley School and was a member of Hillview Baptist Church. He owned and operated Goss Refinishing for 22 years in Greenwood. He was a devout fan of Ole Miss Football.

 He was preceded in death by his four brothers, William Curtis Goss, Olin Goss, Harmon Goss, and Benny Goss; sister, Corine Minyard; and parents.

Mr. Goss is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Smith Goss of Greenwood; sons, Steve Goss and wife Toni of Florence and Mike Goss and wife Diane of Greenwood; daughter, Wanda Carol Goss of Greenwood; sisters, Virginia Minyard of Pascagoula, Myrtle Simpson of Avalon and Alice Faye Minyard of Greenwood; brother, Travis Goss of Avalon; eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be his grandsons and friends.

David Eugene Adams, 55, of Atoka, Tenn., died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his residence.
